Ingredients
Pre-heat a Stockpot by keeping a stand at its base and by covering it by lid for 5 minutes. Grease the cake tin with refined oil and dust it using all-purpose flour so that the cake batter do not stick to its base when baked. You can use butter paper as well instead of using all-purpose flour. To prepare cake batter, take a bowl. Add 1/4 cup refined oil, 1/4 cup curd, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoon bournvita. Mix all these ingredients well for 3 to 4 minutes. Now add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in the cake batter. Mix them well. Now add 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1/2 cup milk in the cake batter and mix it slowly until a smooth texture is obtained. Add tutti frutti / dry fruits in the batter and mix them well. Pour the cake batter in the cake tin. Garnish it with tutti frutti from top. Cake is now ready to be baked. Put it inside the stockpot and cover it with the lid. Gas flame should be medium. Let it bake for 35 to 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, check the cake with knife or some pointed object whether it is well baked or not. If knife comes out sticky when inserted into the cake, then it needs to be baked for some extra 5 to 10 minutes. Once it is baked, let the cake cool for some time and then take it out of the cake tin with the help of knife. That's it. Soft and spongy bournvita cake is ready to be served. Cut it into slices and serve with a syrup of your choice. Method
