Hello Friends. Below you will find recipe for Red Velvet Cake, its base recipe and icing procedure. It has been decorated keeping in mind the special Valentine’s Theme. So do make this cake and surprise your loved ones.
Ingredients
Take a Aluminum Cooking Pot and put some normal cooking salt / sand on its base. Spread it evening. This will help in distributing heat evening in the pot while the cake base will bake. Pre-heat the pot on medium flame for 5 minute by covering the pot with lid or any plate. Also keep one stand on its base inside just above the salt just before covering it with the lid. Now let's prepare cake batter. Take All purpose flour, powdered sugar, milk powder, baking powder and baking soda. Mix them well. Now add refined oil to the mixture, vanilla essence, vinegar and mix them all well and make a consistent batter by pouring some milk to it. Add liquid Food Color of red color and mix it will into the batter. Now pour the batter into a Heart Shaped Cake Tin which is greased well from inside. You can now bake this cake in oven / microwave convection mode at 180 degree for 30 to 35 minutes. But we will bake it in cooking pot. Put the cake tin in preheated pot and cover it with the lid. Bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes on medium flame. After 40 minutes, check the cake whether it is baked from inside or not with the help of a knife or skewer by inserting it into the cake. If it comes out clean, then the cake base is ready. Let the cake base cool for 1 hour and then take it out of the cake tin. Remove the butter paper from the bottom of the cake. Now you can do the icing of this cake as per your them or decorate it as i have done. To watch the icing procedure kinding watch the video from 3 minutes 50 seconds till the end. Method
