Sabudana Khichdi / Poha Recipe

Ingredients

  • Sabudana: 1 Cup / 180 gram
  • Water
  • Refined oil / Desi Ghee: 2 to 3 Tablespoon
  • Cumin Seed: 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped Green Chili: 2 to 3
  • Chopped Potato: 2
  • Chopped Tomato: 2
  • Rock Salt
  • Cumin Powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Chopped Mint Leaves
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves

Method

Step 1

Thoroughly wash Sabudana with water.

Step 2

Soak it in water for 5 to 6 hours.

Step 3

Now heat the refined oil in a pan on medium flame.

Step 4

Add to it cumin seeds, green chili and chopped potatoes. Stir them well and cover the pan with lid until potatoes are cooked well.

Step 5

Now add tomatoes and rock salt and stir it well and again cover the pan with lid for another 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in between once.

Step 6

Add Sabudana, rock salt and cumin powder and mix everything well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until everything is cooked well.

Step 7

Now add chopped mint leaves and coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

Step 8

Sabudana / Sago is ready to be served. Enjoy the meal.
